I need games that let my brain think

Main Post:

Games that either give a creative outlet outside minecraft or terraria or tactical thinking without being too hardcore like escape from tarkov I still want something laid back

Top Comment: Baba is You is pretty fun if you’re into logic puzzles. Pretty laid back too.

I think I'm 100% the target for "Ubisoft games" and I'm tired to pretend I'm not

Main Post:

I'm currently doing Elden Ring and it's what made me come to this conclusion.

I've seen everywhere that this game is a masterpiece when it comes to exploration, open world and RPG elements, and I truly believe i I was honestly having fun but I felt like I was "forcing myself" to explore based on what I heard on the game. And the truth is, I'm having more fun "checking boxes" than mindlessly running around hoping to stumble on some random boss or item or whatever. I recently found an interactive checklist for bosses (https://mapgenie.io/elden-ring/checklist here for anyone who'd like the link) and having finally an exhaustive list of things to do made me... happy.

I believe that's why I like newer AC games or FC games, or ESO for example. The game tells me what to do, and I found out that's a huge part of my fun. I like having objectives to complete, exhaustive quests descriptions and goals, hell, I LOVE having markers on my map and see them updated when I complete a location, kill a boss or whatever.

And I believe it's just another legit way to play a game, that it's not something to be ashamed of

Don’t let anyone shame your gaming style. If structured objectives make it more fun, that’s totally valid.

Games where you can evolve weapons? Think of it like Bloons td6 but as weapons or ratchet and clank

Main Post:

Meaningful upgrades to weapons so to say.

Top Comment:

in bioshock 1 & 2 with each upgrade you can see changes to your weapon (example your revolver becomes belt-fed when you upgrade ammo capacity)

when do you think the games started being more like the 74th and less like the prequel ones?

Main Post:

so we know that in sunrise on the reaping, although better than the bosas games, they were still poorly organised- in fact, I would even go as far as to say that the sotr games were closer in development to the bosas games than the ones in the original trilogy.

so when do you think that development 'leap' was made? Katniss never really brings it up in the books (I don't think so at least) so I'm thinking maybe it happened around the time she was born, or when she was a lot younger at least. what do you think?

Top Comment: I'm curious, what makes you say the 50th Games were more like the 10th? They had all the same features as the 74th: Escorts, mentors, a nice train ride, good food, nice apartments and beauty treatments beforehand, training, interviews, the chariot parade. The games had an elaborate outdoor arena, mutts, a cornucopia, etc etc. I don't see where you got to the conclusion that they were so far less developed that you'd consider them closer to the 10th games

Do you think Akiyama would ever, or *should* ever fight a final boss shirtless?

Top Comment: If you are new to the subreddit, please read the wiki Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS. If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged >!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 Kiryu sings If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7). If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you! What do you guys think about Emulator Users and Actual PsP users? Is there a pros and cons? I'm very interested to hear your opinions about the two.

Main Post:

Gran Turismo Psp

Top Comment: Pros of the PSP hardware is that it is super sleek, nostalgic, and accurate ability to play games. For me though, the pros of emulating on my Odin 2 device like upscaling, save-states, and control mapping to a real analog-stick makes it a no-brainer. Almost everything runs near perfect on current andoid hardware and games like God of War and Dissidia look as good as full scale PS2 games once you bump the resolution.
